Concrete Lintels

Crafted from high-quality materials sourced from reputable dolomite quarries, our lintels are fortified with PPC 52.5n Cement.

They are reinforced with 2.64 crimped wire.

The lintel can be identified by the blue/grey color and rough texture with flat surfaces on the sides which had been cut, 4/6 wires will be visible on either side.

Building Columns

Our Building Columns are crafted using Glass Reinforced Concrete (G.R.C), incorporating alkaline-resistant fiber for enhanced strength and durability. Available in various sizes, including 2.0m x 200mm, 2.0m x 250mm, 2.0m x 300mm, 2.5m x 200mm, 2.5m x 250mm, 2.5 x 300mm, 3.0m x 200mm, 3.0m x 250mm, and 3.0m x 300mm, these columns offer robust structural support while adding aesthetic appeal to your projects.

All our secondary products, including window sills, airbricks, gully tops, rainwater channels, columns base, and rings, are cast using the same meticulously designed mix used in our lintel manufacturing process. This ensures consistent quality and performance across our entire product range.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What overlap is required when using a lintel?

Lintel spans of up to 3 meters generally have a minimum of 150 mm resting above the brickwork on either end.
Lintel spans of between 3 meters and 6 meters generally have a minimum of 300 mm resting above the brickwork on either end.
The lintel should always be bedded on mortar.
Brick-Force should be used with all lintels irrespective of the span.
All joints in the masonry should be filled with mortar.

Q: How many courses of brick-work are required above the lintel?

A minimum of five courses of brickwork should be installed above the lintel. It is the combination of brickwork and lintels that provides the structural strength.

Q: For how long should a lintel be propped after installation?

A lintel should be propped for a minimum of seven days after installation.
Spans of 4.2 meters and longer should be propped for a minimum of 10 days.

Q: At what spacing should props be inserted?

A lintel should be propped at intervals of 1 to 1.5 m intervals.
